ATSC Centronics antenna tuner installed! Connected via the componant ports. Set can display in 1080i when a 1080i signal is present. Works great and I show the main features of the antenna tuner. The HD on the Sony Trinitron is fantastic. Free TV is back baby!! I’m approximate 20 miles from most of the transmitter towers. The stonger staions work verywell at night. Lets say after 7:00 PM. In the late afternoon, I get pixallation and drop outs. I think perhaps due to cars going by

They make some lifting straps (as seen on TV) to assist movers to handle bulky hard to move stuff. That may help you to get the TV mounted. Don’t use anything made of pritical wood. Get a solid wood TV stand. The coffee table worked very well, it was large enough, and was made very solid of hard wood. We often see coffee tables at Bad Will or SA. An old stereo console cabinet may work OK too, if it is deeep enough. I put my Sony 32″ on an old Magnavox console, but had to put some plywood on top.

You might find them at Walgreens or from ebay for about 20$.
They come in handy, good to have – especially for stairways.

John….. Congratulations. Excellent TV reception and sound quality is really good. I liked what you did. So in total how many channels you are getting? Yes “umajunkcollector” is absolutely right, use best quality (may be teak) solid wood for your cabinet. Wheels also should be the industrial strength bigger wheels which you can always hide with a wooden skirt around the cabinet. Keep the height of the skirt slightly less than the height of the wheels. Cheers! Have some beer and enjoy your TV

    HI.

The stanf I show actually is the Sony stand made for the TV. It says right on the stand it can support 240 lbs. What I am going to do is cut out 2 hard wood stair risers and attach wheels, then glue the cut out stair risers to the TV stand and make it look perfect. You are right about the stand being some sort of composite,. That’s why I can’t attach the wheels directly to the stand. Youre right in saying that solid wood would have been better. Stay tuned, you’ll see what I cook up.

Thank you Lost in Space Robot ! No worries, the stand while it’s made of some sort of highly pressed composite says right on the lable it can support 240 lbs. It’s what was sold as the matching TV stand for the Sony set. You’re right though, solid wood would be better.
