What do international business travelers, ham radio users, travel agents, and eBay snipers have in common? They often need to monitor the time in multiple time zones simultaneously.

A business traveler far away from home needs to know if his or her colleagues might still be in the office. Ham radio users need to know GMT time when communicating with other ham radio enthusiasts. Travel agents want to know local times elsewhere. And an eBay sniper would like to know when biddings for items end in eBay time.

WR Consulting has just released a productivity tool that could help – ZoneTick World Time Zone Clock v2.5. Knowing the time around the world is so much simpler now.

This little world clock runs in your Windows system tray, replacing the native clock. It can show many time zones simultaneously. Running in taskbar, it does not clutter your desktop. It conveniently displays the times in places you have chosen to monitor.

An advanced alarm system comes with it allowing you to set alarms for remote clocks in other time zones. For example, a recurring yearly alarm can remind you about an important event such as birthday. Cron-like format can also be used to execute something every few minutes or hours on certain days of week.

Clocks can also be highlighted with color, dynamically, depending on local clock times. Just glance at that clock in the usual corner of your screen and instantly know whether a remote location is open or closed for business.

The program is very handy when communicating with people in other parts of the globe: such as your friends in other countries, your colleagues in remote offices or in the field, or the home-crowd while you are traveling. ZoneTick will also synchronize your computer clock with accurate Internet atomic time-servers.

Dennis James, Director of Corporate Marketing at Talisma Corporation, said: “If you need to know what is happening around the world, look no further. ZoneTick is a great product. All of us in marketing have purchased one because we do business in Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. It saves a lot of calculation when we are planning and setting up meetings.”

Whether you travel from time zone to time zone, have international friends, or are simply on the lookout for high-quality shareware, ZoneTick is the world clock for you!

If you use instant messaging with your friends or colleagues in other time zones or telecommute to work for a company on another continent you might need a world clock to know current local time in other locations. But which world clock software program is right for you?

WR Consulting, a company that develops enterprise productivity tools and services, has released ZoneTick World Time Zone Clock v3.2 — a convenient world clock for Windows that can show multiple time zones either in Windows taskbar or on desktop.

ZoneTick v3.2 has the following new features, as compared to its predecessor, ZoneTick 3.1.

New time zone format is introduced to support all localities on Earth. The new database format anticipates future time zone changes in the world. Countries like Brazil, Uruguay, Israel and many others are fully supported. Dependency on Windows time zones is eliminated.

ZoneTick World Clock is additionally localized into Dutch, Japanese, and Italian. Additional localizations and improvements to existing localization files are welcome via WR Localization Service at http://wrconsulting.com/cms/localization/. The localization service is offered by the company free of charge to world clock user community.

Time table, which shows an entire day layout for all configured time zones, is introduced.

Time converter is redesigned. Conversion of times for countries like India is much easier now.

The program is very useful when communicating with people in other parts of the globe: such as your friends in other countries, your colleagues in remote offices or in the field, or the home-crowd while you are traveling. This is because ZoneTick displays the times for any amount of different time zones and also allows you to synchronize your clocks with accurate online time-servers.

Many of them deal with India and the new version delivers what’s needed very nicely. Not to mention the improved clock accuracy for countries with complex summer time rules. And a few more languages, of course, which strengthen our position as a world clock software market leader for Windows.”

ZoneTick World Time Zone Clock is good for enterprise and individual use. CEOs, VPs, executives traveling on business, and people from many walks of life may find it handy. The 2013 Report on Digital Signal Processors (DSP): World Market Segmentation by City

The 2013 Report on Digital Signal Processors (DSP): World Market Segmentation by City

This report was created for global strategic planners who cannot be content with traditional methods of segmenting world markets. With the advent of a “borderless world”, cities become a more important criteria in prioritizing markets, as opposed to regions, continents, or countries. This report covers the top 2000 cities in over 200 countries. It does so by reporting the estimated market size (in terms of latent demand) for each major city of the world. It then ranks these cities and reports th

Emmy Award-winning Fourth Wall Studios has released “The Hunt” as the first installment of “FLARE”. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, “FLARE” is a world of darkness and fear, but also of humanity and hope. Each day, a mysterious light briefly illuminates the transformed world. But is the light another threat or is it salvation? Does it mean hope or death for earth’s last few inhabitants?

Within this world, there are many stories, some of which will explore the answers to questions about the world, but all of which will explore the lives of the people in it. In “The Hunt”, two families become deeply connected by a single thoughtless act. Burke (Jamie McShane, Sons of Anarchy) is on the hunt for the people who took everything from him, while Dale (Mark Moses, Mad Men) and his son Sid will use the dark in any way they can. It is a tense game of cat and mouse in a post-apocalyptic landscape.

“FLARE” was created by Jim Stewartson, CEO of Fourth Wall Studios. “Having developed this world for nearly three years, it’s so exciting to finally be able to share a part of it with our audience.” said Stewartson. “It was such a privilege to be able to work with our director Dan Brown and this incredible cast. And as we release more content, we will have created something like an open-sourced story world. I hope that audiences everywhere find this glimpse of the world of “FLARE” intriguing enough to want to create their own stories set in this universe.”

FLARE: The Hunt is available for free now on Fourth Wall Studios’ platform, http://www.RIDES.tv

As part of the cutting-edge technology of the RIDES.tv multi-screen platform, “FLARE” uniquely offers:

A global view of the world through the amateur radio conversations of secondary characters.
Deeper insight into each character by experiencing their inner thoughts.
An open-source philosophy of storytelling, where the audience has the opportunity to contribute to the world of “FLARE”. Where will we go from here?

FLARE: The Hunt is directed by filmmaker Dan Brown. Written by Olumide Odebunmi & Tolu Awosika. Produced by Jackie Turnure. Jim Stewartson, Zach Schiff-Abrams, Sean Stewart and Elan Lee serve as Executive Producers.

Viewers can access all of Fourth Wall Studios’ content including “FLARE” for free at RIDES.tv. Like RIDES.tv on Facebook, follow RIDES.tv on Twitter, or add to your circles on Google+.

The fix for the Logbook of The World (LoTW) bug was implemented at 2103 UTC today, November 28. Full credit goes to ARRL Information Technology Manager Michael Keane, K1MK, for figuring out what was happening and how to correct it.

There are two ways of uploading logs: via the LoTW website and by e-mail. LoTW users should note that e-mailed logs were not affected by the bug, so no e-mailed logs…

The past few weeks have been a frustrating time for many users of the ARRL’s Logbook of The World (LoTW) QSO confirmation system. The problems began with a 3-1/2 day outage during the first week of November — a particularly busy time of the year for log uploads.
